Our Process

How Clarity Actually Happens

Four steps. No dumped frameworks. No theatre. Just the disciplined journey we walk with every client — from the first messy conversation to the moment your team no longer needs us in the room.

One Path, Four Pillars

Whichever pillar you're working in, the path looks the same.

Whether we're helping you Communicate more clearly, Lead through a tough quarter, Transform the way your business runs, or Elevate a founder into a CEO — every Being Specific engagement moves through the same four steps. The work changes. The discipline doesn't.

01 Diagnose

Find the friction that's actually slowing you down.

Most engagements fail because someone solved the wrong problem beautifully. So we start by listening — properly. Stakeholder interviews. Capability assessment. Honest conversations with the people closest to the work. We map symptoms back to root causes, separate the urgent from the important, and put it all in writing so nothing gets lost in translation.

You walk away with: an evidence-based map of where the real friction lives — usually not where you thought.

02 Design

A plan you've signed off on, before a single workshop runs.

We don't sell off-the-shelf programmes. Once we know what we're solving, we co-design the engagement around your culture, your team's capacity, and the outcomes you actually need. Milestones, KPIs, who owns what, and how we'll know it worked — all agreed up front. No surprises. No scope drift dressed up as agility.

03 Deliver

In the room. Not on a slide deck.

This is where the work happens — workshops, coaching, and live application against real business problems your team is already wrestling with. We facilitate, we challenge, we sometimes get out of the way. The point isn't to leave your people inspired; it's to leave them more capable than they were on Monday.

You walk away with: a team that has practised the new behaviours in live work, not just heard about them in a slide deck.

04 Sustain

So the clarity sticks long after we leave.

Most consulting engagements end with a deck and a handshake. Ours end with named internal champions, follow-up coaching, and accountability rituals built into your existing rhythms. We check in at 30, 60, and 90 days — not to upsell, but because the change is the deliverable. If it doesn't outlast our invoice, we haven't done our job.

You walk away with: internal champions, rituals, and accountability so the change holds at six and twelve months.

How We Show Up

How we show up in the room.

Direct but warm.

We'll tell you what we see. We won't make you feel small for not having seen it.

Evidence-based.

Every recommendation traces back to something we observed, not something we read.

Quietly confident.

No theatre, no jargon, no rescue narrative. The work speaks.

Pragmatic.

If a framework doesn't survive contact with your Monday morning, it's the wrong framework.

“Working with Being Specific was a turning point for our leadership team. They didn't just coach us — they transformed how we think.”
